Moss to head Metro North Chamber

Former Colorado television news anchor and Mile Hi Church Executive Director Gregg Moss will take over as president and chief executive of the Metro North Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber’s board of directors announced the new job in a statement Sept. 28.

“We are very excited to have Gregg join the Chamber team,” said Board Chair Dana Talarico. “He has deep roots in the Metro North Region, brings a rich history with area chambers and non-profits, is a highly accomplished businessman and is a visionary who will take the Chamber to new heights of service excellence. The Board is delighted to welcome Gregg as the leader of our Chamber community.”

Moss comes to the Chamber from Lakewood’s Mile Hi Church where he served as executive director, overseeing a 58-year-old non-profit spiritual community that serves more than 180,000 people a year.

Moss may be best known as an anchor/reporter at 9NEWS for more than two decades, primarily focused on business issues and trends. Prior to that he worked for The Denver Business Journal as Associate Publisher.

Moss moved to Colorado in 1985 from New Orleans where he attended Loyola University.

He currently serves on the Special Olympics Colorado Board of Directors and the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

He is a past board member of more than 12 large not-for-profits in Denver.

Moss said he welcomes the opportunities.

“The Metro North Chamber is focused on fueling the region’s remarkable economic growth in a way that is intentional and collaborative, and I look forward to bringing a bold new vision for the organization as we grow opportunities for the members and communities we serve,” he said in a written statement.

The Metro North Chamber of Commerce is a regional organization spanning 13 cities, four counties, and six school districts in northern Colorado.
