Letter to the Editor: Yes on 3D

With less than a week to go before ballots are due on Tuesday, November 7, we want to encourage you to Vote Yes on 3D if you have yet to cast your ballot! 3D is School District 27J’s mill levy override question that will generate $12 million in additional revenue to retain and attract teachers and support staff and provide technology and instructional tools for our students. 3D differs from ballot issue 3C in 2015. 3C was a bond question and its successful passage has allowed School District 27J to build new schools and renovate and expand existing ones. You can find specific information on this year’s mill levy override question, how the 2015 bond funds have been spent thus far, and what projects are coming next on the School District 27J website at www.sd27j.org.

The foundation of great communities is great schools. We think the opposite is also true - The foundation of great schools is great communities. We want to thank the Iam27J Steering Committee and all of the Iam27J warriors for their tireless work this fall on behalf of the students and staff of 27J Schools.

Turn in your “yes” ballots. Let’s not wake up on November 8 wishing we had! Remember 2014?

Please join us in voting Yes on 3D!
